S.A. Ramber's comprehensively beat Dub, in what proved to be a lack-lustre performance for Dub after their heroics last week in reaching the Shield quarter finals. With 3 players from last week's starting 11 missing it was always going to be an uphill battle for Dub, and it was compounded by the fact that Donal McCann was suffering from a chest infection. Although managing to force a penalty before half-time, which Hodgkinson slotted into the left corner, McCann had to be substituted early in the 2nd half. Other good excuses for the poor performance by Dub include having their concentration broken by a mini motor cycle on the adjacent all weather pitch, playing with an overly bouncy ball, and being forced to play on a pitch with badly cut grass.
Dub will hope to put this poor performance behind them quickly and get back on the winning trail against Clifton Star next week.
