Dub secured the double - not league and cup but two league wins over Brookvilla not to mention a shield victory in September.

Dub had an impressive start to the match. Their was an air of confidence about the team. The ball was passed around, the defence looked solid and chances were created. Brookvilla didn't threaten in the first half. Mark Donnelly made a welcome return to the team and played a superb pass to Cormac Kernan and the prolific striker tucked away his 19th goal of the season. Once again it looks assured that the manager will be the club's top goalscorer. Perhaps next year he will be challenged for the honour. A suprise candidate may be Gareth Dickson who is averaging a goal a game. Shortly before half time Dickson drilled a low shot into the corner of the net.

Dub had a nervous start to the second half but Dickson settled nerves with a terrific shot that blasted into the net. His season could have ended with an ankle injury suffered aginst Brookvilla in a preseason friendly. He has returned to punish Brookvilla with 5 goals in 2 games.

With Dub 3-0 up Hogkinson came on for Donnelly and Magee came on for Murphy. Soon after Hill came on and played in the unacccustomed position of left midfield. He had a big influence in pushing for a fourth goal and almost scored his first ever goal for the club. With Dub FC heading towards it's first ever clean sheet the team typically sat back and with six minutes to go Brookvilla got the goal they deserved. A couple of minutes later Dub conceeded a second and the subs began to panic.

Would Dub throw away an unassailable lead again!
Would the team crumble under the Broobvilla pressure and the John Quinn abuse ("Dickson your lost in the middle without me there!"). Thankfully this referee didn't play until Brookvilla scored and the whistle went just in time. 3 points at last. A disappointing season but with Linenhall to play on the 13th April and Knock on the 27th April Dub could finish the season with 3 wins. This would set them up well for the end of season chinese (AGM, awards and piss up).
