The highlight of yesterday's 4-4 draw was undoubtably the pass which led to Boca's fourth goal. Images of Cruyff, Platini and more recently Zidane, flashed across the mind, as an inch-perfect chip from veteran midfielder Norman Boyd, took the ball gracefully over the heads of the hapless Dub defence and onto the toe of Hugh Malone who slid it past the keeper.

While a draw was probably a fair result, a Boca victory would surely have been the outcome had Boyd not been omitted from the starting line-up. Ask Dub midfielder Gareth Dickson, marked out of the game in the second half, by the 37 year old father of one.
